Growing Challenge update
Nov 30th, 2009 by Tom

The tomato plant is going well. I expect within a few weeks it should flower. It looks just a “tad” (theres an under-statement) leggy.

Picture – Hydroponic watermelon for thanksgiving
Nov 21st, 2009 by Tom

It has been a long time in the making, but I finally picked a hydroponic watermelon. I have been trying to grow one for almost two years.

The watermellon is very small. It is only about 3″. I cut it in half and my son and I had one half and I saved the other half for my wife. My son couldn’t get enough and wanted my wifes piece too but agreed to share and let her have her piece.

Day 137 in the life of a watermellon plant. Forty Third day after polination.

The hydroponic tomato plant is still doing fine. The growth is slow wich I attribute to the lack of natural sun.

Meyer lemon tree overfertilzed!
Nov 10th, 2009 by Tom

I think I made a big mistake. I put one of those citrus tree fertilizer spike in the meyer lemon tree planter. All the leaves wilted in a mater of a few days.

I just poured a bunch of water in to try to flush out the nutrients and I hope that will work.

Any other tips to get this dwarf meyer lemon back up to speed?
