The lights turn on around 6pm eastern time. I think it is currently set for about 12 hours of on time (6pm to 6am) . So if you don’t see anything come back later.

Oh, and for a special treat if you watch between 6 and 8pm there is a small chance you could catch me filling the water levels and pulling off dead leaves.

Hydroponic watermelon

The hydroponic cucumber, hydroponic pumpkin and hydroponic watermelon are both using drip. The timer is set for 15 minutes on every 6 hours. My thinking is that they just need enough water to stay damp.

I put aquarium pump in the bucket with the watermelon and I’ll see how that works to pump the extra water back to the reservoir.

I am going to try to add archives and some other features to this page so keep nudging me if you think I’m moving too slow.

Could we get a wider shot of the garden? Right now, it looks like a bunch of buckets of hydroton and just a bit of your tomatoes.

I’ll see what I can do. My major problem is that reflections from the light tend to blind the camera. Most of my garden is a bunch of buckets of hydroton.

Keep an eye on the bucket in the lower left corner. There are 3 zucchini plants just starting there. They should start get get bigger over the next week.

Tell us about the different setups on the webcam! I see DWC, and perhaps hand watered hydroton?
